Meet Lisa
MACP., Registered Provisional Psychologist
I grew up in the greater Toronto area, and when I finished school, I somehow found myself living and working out here in Alberta! (I miss the lakes, but the mountains make up for it!). I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, a good cup of coffee, and watching YouTube videos on almost anything! (And sometimes I do like to walk and be ‘outdoorsy’).
Growing up, I was always fascinated by people and trying to understand human behaviour. I am passionate about listening to people’s life stories and helping them overcome challenges to find new meaning and joy in their lives.

I believe our relationships can make us feel connected, understood, and able to share our most vulnerable life stories. My desire to learn more about people inspired me to pursue a career in the helping field. I believe everyone is unique, which means I will work with you to figure out what works best for you. I will start by first getting to know you and what you would like to achieve during our time together.

I have spent several years working with children, adolescents, teenagers, adults, and families who have various mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, and behavioural challenges. Some of my experiences include teaching life skills, navigating high-conflict situations, and working with high-risk behaviours. I am passionate about helping people identify and remove barriers that hinder living a more fulfilling and enjoyable life. There are many different seasons in life that we will face, and I believe having the right tools to navigate each season prepares you for the journey ahead.

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference" - Reinhold Niebuhr
This quote resonates with me because I know that sometimes we can get stuck in life. It can be very helpful to have someone to talk with who can help navigate life's challenges.
