Hi, I'm Jill and I'm a Canadian Certified Counsellor here at Balance Psychological. My approach to counselling draws on a variety of modalities to tailor the therapy experience to each client’s needs.
I practice through an attachment lens, examining the relationships that have shaped us throughout
our lives. I use a trauma-informed approach, alongside methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
(CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness practices. I’m an advocate for the importance of
the mind-body connection and using somatic-based practices that attune to this in session.
I work with adolescents 12+, individual adults, couples, and seniors. Some of my areas of specialization
include caregiving/aging, grief and loss, relationships, neurodiversity, health/medical-related issues, and
working with individuals with disabilities.
Outside of my therapy work, I enjoy crafting, DIY home projects, and film photography. I’m also an avid
thrifter and delight in a cool second-hand find!
