Meet Kyla,
Counselling Intern
Hello, I'm Kyla! I work with adolescents (14+), adults, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, supporting clients through a wide range of challenges including emotional regulation, anxiety, identity exploration, and interpersonal relationship difficulties.
My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in attachment theory. I draw from emotionally focused therapy (EFT), somatic practices, and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) to meet each person where they are and support meaningful, sustainable growth.
My goal as a counsellor is to provide a supportive and gently challenging space where clients feel safe to explore, heal, and connect more deeply with themselves and others. I believe that healing begins within a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship and that everyone has the capacity to thrive with the right support.
Outside of the counselling room, I’m an animal mom of three, a plant lover, and an art enthusiast. You’ll often find me in the mountains, tending to my plants, or reading a good book on the deck.
